Queen Ann's Lace....... usually has pristine white

petals,
however, I wanted to embroider them on a pristine white background,
and chose and off white color of floss instead..........to make the flower show up.....
which seems to work well........don't you think?

I also wanted a full color to this mason jar but did not
want to spend hours filling it in with tiny stitches.......
that would cause the jar to lose it's true design,
so I used crayons to color the jar, some of the leaves, and a slight
green color underneath the Queen Ann's Lace
I then embroidered the lines of the jar, leaves, and flower.

and it made the design look almost like a
real Atlas jar of Queen Ann's Lace

To tint your design with crayons, color your design with the crayons of  your choice,
then cover the design with white paper towel.
With a hot dry iron, press over the paper towel.........
keep doing this with paper towels until there is no color left
on the paper towel.
This has set your color into your fabric.
Then embroider your design as you wish.
